— During the Anji game the stands not only supported the team, but also criticised it harshly at certain points. What did you make of it?

— Of course we want the supporters to be behind us completely. We need it right now. Spartak is in a tough spot. I'd like to use this opportunity to ask our supporters to come to the Ural game.

— Rumours surfaced recently that certain foreign players boycott games because of the head coach's resignation. How would you comment that?

— That's complete nonsense. Some incredible stories. I haven't played against Anji: does that mean I protested as well? That's nonsense.

— Did the training routine change considerably after Carrera's resignation?

— It didn't change at all.

— You have played a lot of games in the last couple of months. That includes an exhausting World Cup campaign. Do you feel tired?

— I have enough time between games to recover fitness-wise. Sometimes it's hard to do likewise mentally. But I understand people expect a lot from me, see me as a leader. So I demand a certain level from myself and try to stay true to it every game. Whether I succeed or not is not for me to decide.
