Spartak Moscow head coach press-conference after the game in Thessaloniki.
Massimo Carrera: Everything will be decided in the second game
— What did go wrong after two scored goals?

— We decided that everything was easy winning by 2:0. We started making mistakes. When you lose control, there is always a risk to be punished. That’s what actually happened. We were more organized in the second half and had moments but couldn’t equalize.

— How big was PAOK‘s part in Spartak Moscow loosing control?

— We saw PAOK we knew. The team played great in the centre. This was what we expected. PAOK gained the result but our mistakes mattered.

— Was it a hard decision to put Maksimenko and Lomovitsky into the starting eleven?

— No, I didn’t hesitate as they train with the first team for a long time.

— Quincy Promes was interrupted with laser during penalty. What do you think about the aggressive atmosphere on the stadium?

— That might have influenced his shot. PAOK fans? They did what they should supporting the team, and they kept supporting even loosing by 0:2.

— Why Denis Glushakov didn’t go onto the pitch?

— We found some problems with his neck on yesterday’s training. I preferred not taking risks.

— Are you going to win in Moscow?

— We can’t promise but the game is going to be crucial. I was asked if Spartak Moscow is a favorite yesterday and I claimed that I didn’t think so. I was right.

— What was positive about today’s game?

— Spartak Moscow had a good match except the moments we missed the goals.
