After the Europa League third round qualifying game against Thun, Spartak stayed in Switzerland to prepare for the upcoming league game against Akhmat.

Today the team held a training session in Bern, at the Neufeld stadium, which Young Boys U21s team uses as a home arena. The stadium was also used to host the European Athletics Championships in 1954.

Before training the team held a traditional guard of honour for the newcomer, Gus Til.

It's worth noting Soltmurad Bakaev and Mikhail Ignatov left the first squad to help Spartak-2 against Avangard.

The team will hold another training session early Saturday, before travelling to Grozny.
