Spartak Moscow and Slavia Praha have agreed the terms of transfer over Alex Kral. The 21-year-old Czech has successfully passed his medical and signed a 5-year deal with Spartak.

Alex was born in Kosice on May 19, 1998. He started playing football in Brno, joined Slavia's academy at 13 years of age and stayed there until 2017, when he joined Teplice.

Following a successful 18-month spell there, Kral returned to Slavia in January this year and subsequently won the league and cup double. A couple of days ago he helped the Czech side to a successful Champions League group stage qualification.

Kral represented the national side on various youth levels, before making his senior debut in a friendly against Brazil. In June he helped the Czech national side overcome Bulgaria and Montenegro in the Euro-2020 qualifying matches. Tomorrow he will travel to join up with his national teammates for the games against Kosovo and Montenegro.

Alex has often been likened to David Luiz for his extravagant hair style. Kral is player capable of filling in at several positions in midfield and defense, however he has mostly played as a holding midfielder and a centre-back.

Kral becomes the fourth Czech international at Spartak, following into the illustrious footsteps of Martin Jiranek, Radoslav Kovac and Marek Suchy.

Welcome to the family, Alex!
