Sergei Kuznetsov: «We needed to calm down after Krasnodar's player was sent off»
Our interim head coach faced the press after the game in Krasnodar. Here's what he said.

— Unfortunately, we lost another game today. We wanted to get three points badly, because a run of bad results has the most negative effect on everyone: the players, the staff, the fans. We have an international break ahead and we'll prepare with renewed energy to finally break the spell.

We didn't start the match in a good way. But I need to give credit to the players for turning the game around, creating chances, pulling a goal back. I banked on high pressing after the break, but unfortunately my subs made a picture muddier and we failed to create goalscoring chances in the latter stages. We needed to calm down after Krasnodar's player was sent off, but emotions overwhelmed us.

Gigot, Schurrle and Ayrton should be back for the next game. We need to work on finishing our attacks, because that's the root of our problems in my opinion.

I didn't think much about my position as caretaker manager. I was fully focused on getting the team ready for an opponent as serious as Krasnodar.

Oleg Kononov's resignation came as a surprise to us, so we were asked to prepare the team for this match. We can only be judged in a negative light after today's match. Whatever happens next is up to the Club's management. We can only wait for their decision.
